Principle of Operation

Product's Principle of Operation Image

Key Steps:

Influent Water Entry

The process begins when influent water containing solids and debris enters the AquaGuard® Screen through an inlet channel. This water is directed towards the screening area where the filtration process is initiated.

Three-Dimensional Screening Mechanism

Key Components:

  • Screening Panels: The AquaGuard® Screen features patented three-dimensional screening panels. These panels are essential for enhancing the capture efficiency of small particles and fine debris.
  • Rotating Drum: The screening panels are mounted on a rotating drum that allows them to move continuously during operation.

Operation:

  • As the influent water passes through the three-dimensional screening panels, the unique structure captures and retains a higher percentage of fine solids compared to traditional two-dimensional screens.
  • The 3D design ensures uniform flow distribution across the entire screen surface, preventing localized clogging and maintaining consistent filtration performance even with varying flow rates.

Debris Conveyance and Removal

Key Components:

  • Conveyor System: Captured debris is conveyed upwards by the rotating drum.
  • Discharge Zone: At the top of the conveyor system, the debris is directed towards the discharge zone.

Operation:

  • As the screening panels rotate, the captured solids and debris are lifted out of the water and conveyed towards the discharge zone.
  • The debris is then discharged into a collection bin or conveyed to a disposal system, ensuring efficient removal from the water stream.

Self-Cleaning Mechanism

Key Components:

  • Brush System: The AquaGuard® Screen is equipped with strategically positioned brushes to clean the screening panels.
  • Spray Nozzles: High-pressure spray nozzles provide additional cleaning force.

Operation:

  • As the screening panels rotate and convey debris, the brush system continuously scrubs the panels, removing adhered particles and preventing clogging.
  • High-pressure spray nozzles enhance the cleaning process by washing away fine particles, ensuring the screening surface remains clear and functional.

Effluent Water Exit

After passing through the screening panels, the filtered water exits the AquaGuard® Screen through an outlet channel. The water, now free from solids and debris, can be directed to downstream treatment processes or discharged as per the facility’s requirements.
