The OTT D-Rex Diffuser is a state-of-the-art aeration solution specifically designed for high-performance wastewater treatment applications. The OTT D-REX® disc diffusers offer versatile mounting options, allowing attachment to ¾” internal threaded connections or rectangular headers with 30 mm (1.18″) diameter outlet openings using an adapter. They are constructed from glass-fiber reinforced polypropylene, ensuring reliability at temperatures up to 120°C (248°F) and full resistance to formic acid. These diffusers handle a wide range of air throughputs, providing excellent process flexibility. Additionally, they are available with various membrane choices, including EPDM FLEXNORM®, silicone FLEXSIL®, and OTT FLEXLON® membranes

Air Distribution

Uniform Air Supply: Air is supplied to the diffuser through a network of headers and distribution pipes. The design ensures uniform air distribution across the entire diffuser.

End-to-End Air Channel: The integrated air channel within the diffuser facilitates even air flow, which is crucial for consistent aeration performance.

Membrane Perforation

Bubble Formation: Air passes through the specially designed perforated membrane, forming fine bubbles as it escapes into the wastewater. The precise design of the perforations ensures optimal bubble size and uniform distribution.

Fine Bubble Aeration: The fine bubbles rise slowly through the water, maximizing the contact time between air and water. This maximized contact time is essential for high oxygen transfer efficiency.

Oxygen Transfer

Enhanced Efficiency: As the fine bubbles ascend, they efficiently transfer oxygen to the water. This oxygen is crucial for supporting the aerobic microorganisms that decompose organic matter in the wastewater.
